at Caxton Hotel – View on Path.
Watching the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony.
Not bad ‘eh. But did they really have to show “that” kick by Johnny Wilkinson.
"Mars Attacks"is an awesome movie. I’m having a great time watching this on Go! again :-)
Google Nexus 7 unboxing
So I’ve finally gotten around to getting my photo’s off my phone and am putting together a little unboxing email.
I opened up the shipping box and was greeted with this sight.
I pulled it out and removed the bubble wrap (bubble wrap is waaaay fun! :) )
This is the underside of the box, with the 2 pieces of black tape keeping it all closed.
I got the box opened really easily. I just cut those 2 pieces of black tape, put it up the right way, held the cover box by the vertical corners and lightly shook it (just like a baby). The inside dropped out nice and easily. I don’t know how all these other supposed “experts” were having so much trouble. n00bs. Either that, or they’ve changed the packaging …
Taking out the tablet shows a small box underneath containing all the cables and booklets (quick start & warranty).
The charging AC adapter comes in 2 pieces„ much like the iPhone/iPad AC adapter.
With the charging adapter assembled
The quick start guide is just a foldout little number. Pretty standard stuff in there really.
The plastic protector cover unwraps from around the back of the tablet. It’s held in place by a very little amount of “glue” and comes off very easily.
Free and clear of the protective covering
Here you can see the various inputs and outputs for the device
USB connector (also for charging).
Buttons up the top: Power on/off, volume up, volume down.
There’s also some docking pins on the left hand edge
Power up time!

Select and sign in to a wi-fi connection. There is no SIM in this for mobile broadband, so wi-fi it is.
It comes preconfigured with my Google Account, just need to pop in the password and you’re good to go.
For the lucky pre-order people, you also get $25 to spend in the Play store.
It comes with some media (books and movie) pre-installed.
After going into the Play store the first time, it asks you to perform a system upgrade.
Fully upgraded and ready to go! This is normal sight when turning it on. You can change this to other types of unlocking. Pattern, PIN, etc, etc.
